What is Community Volunteer Action?

We are a network of volunteering groups, where you:

  • discover the larger Hamilton community
  • discuss your volunteer experiences with other McMaster students
  • learn about and help address inner-city issues
  • make a significant difference where it is needed
  • gain valuable experience

This is a unique opportunity to volunteer with a group of McMaster students. Each week the facilitator of the group helps you find your way to the placement and also facilitates discussion of your volunteer experiences for 15 min. at the end of your service experience.

Community Volunteer Action is sponsored by MSU Open Circle, OPIRG, McMaster University, and Student Open Circles. Funding for this project is provided by the United Way, the Ontario Trillium Foundation, and the Hamilton Community Foundation.
